Description

Introduction to the novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

The lesson starts with an exciting spelling challenge. Then, we will look at the poster of the film Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton, and name as many characters as possible. We will learn the key words ‘protagonist’, ‘antagonist’, ‘secondary charaters’, and ‘minor and supporting characters’. We will understand their different roles and purposes. Then, we will identify them in the novel Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll and detail their roles. We will also look at an illustration by John Tenniel and write a structured paragraph to describe and comment it. For our final task, we will have to be as creative as possible and describe our own wonderland.
